The 11th annual event was held on March 18, 2015, at the Naples Hilton.  The honoree was Bob Orr.

Honor The Free Press, founded by U.S. Marine Veteran Michael Trephan, is an annual event, one of a kind in the country, with the aim of honoring the United States First Amendment right of a FREE PRESS.   It is non-partisan and has no other agenda or political purpose.

For the past 11 years, the event was organized by the Honor the  Free Press  Executive Committee  with  the help  of the Marine Corps League of Naples and the Naples Press Club.
